Getting Started Guide

This guide will help you get started with the use of this site, and to set up automatic downloads.

Step One

  1. Make sure you have read the Terms of Service and completely agree with everything there!
  2. You'll need a BitTorrent client. We recommend qBittorrent.  It's open-source, no ads, and well-tested. But, most BitTorrent clients work just fine. In this guide, we'll assume you are using a recent version of qBittorrent.
  3. (Optional but recommented) Use a VPN. We have used Tunnel Bear and NordVPN, but any number of other VPNs will do the job. They protect your IP from being easily* identified by snooping corporations and other malicious actors. We aren't sponsored by any VPN company; we just want to pass along some good advice!

Step Two

  1. Create an account with this site and log in.  On the "My Shows" page, add your favorite shows you like to watch.  You can get fancy and modify your preferred resolution and encoder settings, or, just leave everything as Default.
  2. By default, only shows in English will be available to select, but you can add/change to other languages easily by visiting your Account page.

Step Three

Visit the My Feed page.  You'll notice a URL to your personal RSS feed, which gets updated every 15-30 minutes or so.  Copy the URL, you'll need it for the next step.

Step Four - Where the Magic Happens

  1. [Start your VPN], open qBittorrent, [configure it to only allow traffic through your VPN], then click on View -> RSS Reader.  On the new RSS tab that appears at the top, click the "New Subscription" button, and add the Feed URL you copied in Step Three.
  2. There should be a "RSS Downloader" button on the right-size of the screen. Click it, and add a new Download Rule.  Call it anything you like.  In the middle part of the window, you will see a box that says "Apply Rule to Feeds:" and your new custom feed should be listed.  Check its box, then hit the Close button.
  3. Back in your Transfers tab, it should now be downloading from your custom feed!
    1. If it is notyou may need to explicitly tell it to auto-download by going to Tools -> Options -> RSS.  Make sure "Enable fetching RSS feeds" is checked.  Make sure "Enable auto downloading of RSS torrents" is also checked.

Step Five - Extra Settings in qBittorrent (and maybe other bittorrent clients as well)

By default, qBittorrent only allows 50 items in the RSS feeds that it reads in, and this could cause it to get confused and try to re-download episodes you've gotten and have since deleted.  If that happens, go to Tools -> Options -> RSS, and set the "Maximum number of articles per feed" to 999 or some sufficiently high number above 150.  This will prevent qBittorrent from "forgetting" what it has already downloaded.

And that's it!  qBittorrent will automatically re-scan your custom feed URL for changes, and then automatically download episodes as they appear in your custom feed.

It goes without saying that copyright law clearly forbids you from downloading any material which you do not have a legal right to. Make sure to review our Terms of Service, and discontinue use of the site & feed URL if you cannot comply.

* The reason we say that VPNs protect your IP from being easily identified is because you should assume that almost nothing on the Internet is really private to a very determined government agency. That said, there are several VPNs which have a "no logs" policy, and even some which have successfully made it through government subpeonas for data unscathed. Make sure you do your research before making a purchase. And, of course, don't do anything online you could go to jail for-- good advice in any situation!
